Back to homeschool is a fun time in our household. I grew up attending traditional public schools, so the back to school routine was definitely different. However, we still want to make the most of this exciting time of year. Adding a few new educational manipulatives to our homeschool is a great way to do so. Here are some of the wooden toys that I love for my kindergarten homeschooler! Some we already have, and some are still on our wish list.

Moon Phases Puzzle

This children’s moon phases puzzle is an educational and fun toy for learning all about the stages of our moon. Scientifically accurate and great for building fine motor skills, it’s an interactive creative activity that delights young (and not-so-young) fans of the solar system.
Read Build Write Board

Students read (or see and say), build and then write words.
Read: You can use a flash card or a toy object/animal in this section and read the word or identify what it is.
Build: Use letter tiles or magnets letters or print out and cut moveable alphabet and build the word. Letter by letter, sounding it out.
Write: Finally, practice writing the word in the chalkboard or the dry erase area.
Wooden Hundred Board

Double sided hundred frame. Best of both worlds.
One side has pockets for balls
Other side has pockets for coins
You can get whatever coin set you’d to add on
Life Cycle Tray (4 & 5 Circles)

This life cycle tray helps to explore the wonderful rhythms of nature. It is easy to visualize cyclical life patterns of animals or plants. There are four cavities on one side of the board (and five on another) to put in any figurine or picture of life stage and four arrows between them for easy navigation.
Learning Tower / Convertible Helper Tower

Allow your baby to take part in your domestic chores and make him feel as a real helpmate.
Designed based on the basic principle of Montessori pedagogy for developing a child’s independence and involvement in everyday tasks. The children will value the opportunity to be involved in preparing meals or in reaching the sink to wash the dishes in a comfortable and safe way!

Movable Alphabet

A great teaching method for teaching alphabets and English words! The Movable Alphabet is used by the children for the writing of words, as well as to get familiar with the letters and their sound for future exercises in composing words.
All the Vowels are in Blue color and Consonants are in red color.
Felt Human Anatomy Board

It is never too early to learn about the human body. This 6×10 human body learning board is made out of felt. There are fifteen organs that you can place on the felt body to learn where your organs belong. The board and organs are made out of two pieces of felt with stabilizer in between. Theybare then emboidered on my embroidery machine. This set includes
Mandala Loose Parts

Mix and match a variety of mandala pieces: there are countless ways to use this open-ended play set.
Learn shapes, colors, logical suites, counting, and have fun.
The child’s imagination will take them to create mandalas, flowers, airplanes, landscapes…and all kinds of stories.
They are dyed with water-based non-toxic paint.
Wooden Alphabet Tracing Board

This engraved alphabet board has gently curved grooves, providing a form to trace with either your finger or tracing stick. This wonderful learning experience provides your child with many ways to play such as tracing, filling, crayon rubbing, play dough pressing, and games such as “what letter makes this sound” or “trace the letters to spell the word cat.”
